Lesson Time/Missed Lessons
Each student has a reserved lesson time, and is responsible for that time. Lesson time cannot be extended for late arrivals.

Private lessons missed by the student may be rescheduled only if the lesson is cancelled by 8:00 a.m. the day of the lesson. No more than two (2) student absences will be rescheduled during the school year. Lessons missed due to teacher absence or snow days will be made up on one of our scheduled makeup days, or sooner if possible. Please refer to Piano Central Music Studios' Calendar for scheduled makeup days.

If it is necessary to cancel a lesson or class, please notify your teacher at her home number or call 232-5010 as soon as possible. Tuition is due regardless of missed lessons.

Thirty-Day Notice of Cancellation
It is understood that a student who signs up for lessons is committing take lessons throughout the entire school year. However, should extenuating circumstances arise, and should it become necessary for a student to discontinue his or her lessons, a written, thirty-day notice is required. Payment is due during this thirty-day period whether or not lessons are taken.

Supplies and Music
Please bring the assignment notebook and all books each week. Bills for music will be sent when the student receives new music. You may write a check to the teacher for the books, or you can include that amount with your next tuition payment. Music expenses will generally be $25 - $30 or less during each term.

Practice Time
All students must have a piano or digital keyboard available for daily practice. For maximum results, students need a daily, non-interrupted time to practice. Length of practice requirements will vary according to teacher assignments and student levels.

Parental Involvement
Parental support is crucial to the success of the students in our program. From week to week, the assignment notebook is a helpful mode of communication about teacher expectations and assignments, scheduling reminders, and student progress. Also, please be aware that other important information and letters are often sent home with the students throughout the year.

Keyboard Tuning and Maintenance
Tuning and maintenance of your acoustic piano or digital keyboard at home is very important. For yearly tunings and other repairs, Piano Central Music Studios recommends Mr. Sam Taylor at 288-2353.

We encourage you to call your teacher at her home number if you have questions about student progress or assignments. We do ask that you call your teacher at home rather than at Christ Church Episcopal School to avoid confusion and missed messages. Please understand that teaching schedules may prohibit us from receiving and/or returning calls on the day of a student's scheduled lesson. However, each teacher has an answering machine and will return your calls as soon as possible.

It is our sincere and professional desire to provide the best possible environment for musical learning and to instill in each student a lasting love and appreciation for music.

Agreement to the policies stated above is prerequisite to enrollment in the Piano Central Music Studios Piano program at CCES.
